Schouwen is again a patchwork of natural areas. The largest forest of Zeeland is in Westerschouwen. Where you hear the surf anywhere. With wild honeysuckle, that smells so nice after a rainstorm. Together with the Gulls Dunes (Meeuwenduinen) it is part of the nature reserve \Kop van Schouwen\’. A hilly dunes scenery between Renesse and Burgh Haamstede. With sand-drifts, valleys and dune meadows. Forest edges and thickets with lots of birds. Everywhere rustles life that you can watch from the many marked trails or from the shelter or watch tower.

The many cycle-tracks and the rural roads offer you a varied view that is uncommon in the Netherlands. The coastal-tracks through the dunes, the peaceful country roads through the countryside, the characteristic peaceful villages and the long extensive cycle-tracks offers you especially a safe and ideal environment to enjoy, by yourself or with the whole family.
